In this podcast episode, I share a quote that completely changed my life. We come across inspirational quotes every day, but rarely do they leave a lasting impact. However, one powerful insight from Kyle Cease made me realize how I was giving my struggles more importance than my connection to myself. This shift in perspective led me to meditation, which in turn transformed my financial situation, my mindset, and my overall well-being.

We all read or hear quotes almost every day. And usually, we read them, think, "Nice quote," and move on with our day. But how often does a quote really stay with us—making us think, or even changing our lives? Well, today, I have a quote that had a huge impact on me. Before I share it, I want to give you some context so you understand where I was at.
Many years ago, when I moved to Mallorca, my business partner and I set up an osteopathic clinic. The first year, we had enough work during the season from April to October. It wasn’t amazing, but it was enough. Then November came, and from one day to the next, our work dropped in half.
At the same time, I had just turned 30 and thrown a huge birthday party that cost me a lot of money. On top of that, I had moved to a new flat, which meant paying real estate fees, a deposit, and rent. Financially, I was drowning. I had no idea how I was going to make it work.
I did what I thought I had to do—put myself out there, market my services, and tell people, "Hey, I’m here! Book a treatment with me!" I was following Gary Vaynerchuk, who always talked about content creation and consistency. I posted daily for two months.
Nothing changed.
Then, one day, I was scrolling through Facebook and saw a sponsored video by Kyle Cease. He stood out to me because he spoke from the heart, and he was funny—he used to be a professional comedian. I connected with his videos and started watching them daily.
And then, in one of his videos, he said something profound:
Whenever you have a problem with something, it’s because you’re giving that thing more importance than your connection to yourself.
That hit me hard. I was giving all my focus to my financial struggles, my lack of money, and the stress of making ends meet. But I wasn’t connecting to myself. I was doing everything externally—putting out content, marketing, trying to fix things outside of me—when nothing was working inside.
Then Kyle said:
Try meditating for two hours a day and see how your life changes.
Two hours a day?! That sounded like a lot. But I had more time since I had less work, so I decided to try it. I meditated for one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening.
Little did I know how powerful that decision would be.
Within four days, things started shifting. People began messaging me, booking treatments, and little by little, my calendar filled up. Before I knew it, I was fully booked—and I have been ever since.
I no longer meditate two hours a day, but I make sure to do 20 minutes daily. It keeps me connected to myself, reminding me to focus inward instead of just doing things for others.
If you’re struggling with something, take a moment to reflect. Are you giving that struggle more importance than your connection to yourself? If so, try meditating. Start with 10, 15, or 20 minutes a day—whatever feels right. Just observe what happens without being attached to the outcome.
Let me know in the comments what shifts for you!
And for those of you thinking, I can’t meditate. I’ve tried, and it doesn’t work.—That’s not true! In the next episode, I’ll walk you through the easiest meditation technique, the same one Kyle Cease shared and the one I used when I started meditating for two hours a day. It’s simple, and anyone can do it.
See you in the next episode!
